Hummingbirds

Hummingbirds
Build it and they will come... A hummingbird consumes half its weight in sugar each day. Plant a garden with lots of color, provide some feeders and places for them to shelter and you may attract these acrobats to you yard. The peak season for hummingbirds is mid to late summer. They feed from sunup to sundown. They can fly up, down, upside down and backwards. They are very territorial so having more than one feeder will help to attract more hummingbirds. What a joy to see these vibrant, inquisitive birds zipping through your garden. Watch for our educational site on developing a hummingbird garden. Check out our decorative feeders and supplies to keep them clean. Also, Hummingbirds of North America offers a colorful guide to these wonderful birds.
